2014 June Lansing, Michigan

We had a very interesting tour of the Michigan capitol building.
The detail of the woodwork and chandeliers was amazing.

Our group was able to listen into high school students debating various state legislative issues. They were doing a moc congressional session and got school credits for participating.

The Historical Center of course had a lot of history of the automobile industry.  Below is one of the first assembly lines.
Women filled many jobs during WW II, when there was a shortage of workers.  I did what I could to help.

The cars below were REO's after Ransom Eli Olds.  Founded in 1897, the Olds Motor Vehicle Company later became Oldsmobile.
